ALC Customers are advised that ASX will be conducting its scheduled 6 month maintenance on the Diesel Rotary Un-interruptible Power Supply (DRUPS) systems at the ALC. Due to the extent of the maintenance, the maintenance operations will be conducted over two weekends. DRUPS A will be started on Sunday 12 February 2016 at 07:00 and is scheduled to be completed by 13:00 same day. DRUPS B & C will be started on Sunday 19 February 2016 at 07:00 and scheduled to be completed by 19:00.

The maintenance will be performed on a single DRUPS at a time and will require each DRUPS to be placed into maintenance bypass mode.  Each rack has dual power rails and during this time one power rail in each rack will be running off mains power, therefore the second power rail will be maintained in normal operation mode. In the event of a power outage, power will be lost to one power rail only.

Whilst we are anticipating that there will be no service interruptions, we recommend that a Static Transfer Switch (STS) be installed if you have single corded hardware.

There is a low risk associated with this service.

ASX will be working closely with its service engineers for the duration of the maintenance.

ALC access and other services will continue as per normal procedures. If you have any questions regarding this maintenance please contact Customer Technical Support.
