ASX ComNews customers are advised of several changes to report type codes. These pertain to ASX Compliance Update published 14 October 2019, available via the following ASX Online link, which details a number of major ASX Listing Rule Reforms due to come into effect 1 December 2019, subject to the receipt of the necessary regulatory approvals:  https://www.asx.com.au/documents/regulation/Listed-201910.html

The effective date for the ComNews report type code changes is Monday 2 December 2019. All changes are for sub-report codes under the Market Announcement Primary Report Code 06 – ISSUED CAPITAL.

While the current description of the current Sub-Report Type 06013 defined as “Appendix 3B” will not change, what will occur is that certain content currently captured in the Appendix 3B, will cease to be captured in this appendix and instead will be moved into its own Sub-Report Type. There will be two additional Sub-Report Types that will carry this content that will move out of the current Appendix 3B, and these are detailed below.

The first of these Sub-Report Types is 06020, currently defined as “Reserved for Future Use” – the description of this code will change to “Appendix 2A” and will represent the specific market announcement that will be dedicated for use by issuers for application for quotation of securities.

The second of these Sub-Report Types is 06021, currently defined as “Reserved for Future Use” – the description of this code will change to “Appendix 3G” and will represent the specific market announcement that will be dedicated for use by issuers for notification of issue, conversion or payment up of Unquoted Equity Securities.

These changes will mean that this reporting will no longer be part of the Appendix 3B moving forward which is where it has been reported up to now.

A further change is in respect of the expanded use of current Sub-Report Type 06007 defined as “Alteration to Issued Capital”. This will also be used to disseminate a new Appendix – Appendix 4A. Current announcements disseminated under Sub-Report Type 06007 will continue to be disseminated under this same code. This new Appendix 4A will be used to represent the specific market announcement that will be dedicated for use by CDI issuers for statement of CDIs on issue – it will be the new notification channel for the number of issue of securities for CDI Issuers which they will need to provide on a monthly basis, and will mean this reporting will no longer be part of Appendix 3B moving forward which is where it has been reported up to now.

These changes are summarised below.
