On 20 September 2019, ASX published a new ASX Operating Rules Guidance Note 16 Removal of AQUA Products from Trading Status. This guidance should assist issuers and their advisers to understand ASX’s policies and procedures regarding the removal of AQUA products from trading status on ASX and/or an issuer’s approval as an AQUA product issuer.  

The guidance includes:

·       The right of an issuer to request the removal of an AQUA product and/or the issuer’s approval as an AQUA product issuer

·       How to make such a request and the application process

·       Conditions that ASX will typically require to be satisfied before it will act upon such a request

·       Circumstances where ASX may revoke the admission of an AQUA product to trading status and/or the issuer’s approval as an AQUA product issuer

What do I need to do by when?

Product issuers should read the attached Guidance Note 16 to familiarise themselves with the new requirements and processes necessary to comply with the Guidance Note 16.
