Listing additional ASX 90 Day Bank Bill Butterflies as Exchange Defined Combinations (EDC).

Effective 10 June 2026, ASX will expand the listing of Bank Bill Butterfly futures. Previously, only the front three butterflies were listed. From this date, contracts will span all consecutive quarterly tenors from the front white to the last green quarter month (i.e. FLU6 through FLZ8). This change supports more efficient curve trading and improves alignment with outright futures expiries.

After the 10th Jun expiry cycle, the standard listing schedule will resume i.e. ASX will delist the front Bill Butterfly on the business day before the spot-month 90 Day Bank Bill Futures Last Trading Day, and list one new back Bill Butterfly at the start of the night session before that Last Trading Day.

To provide ample opportunity to review the changes, we’re opening these combinations in Industry Wide Testing (IWT) within the CDE and CDE+ environments for external participants and vendors to view prior to go-live.

Key dates to keep in mind:

IWT

22nd May 2026 onwards

Production

10th Jun 2026

There are no changes to contract specifications and no impact to existing instruments. An updated Butterfly Fact Sheet will be published in conjunction with this notice.

What do I need to do by when?

Participants and vendors are encouraged to test the additional Bank Bill Butterflies in the CDE and CDE+ environments.

Please contact ASX if you have any questions or concerns regarding the proposed changes.
